We are the first breast cancer survivor dragon boat crew on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Founded in 2001, we are strong survivors ranging in age from 30 to 70+. We are lawyers, nurses, teachers, occupational therapists, doctors, coaches, moms and grandmothers. We have in common the journey that is breast cancer and a passion for the sport of dragon boating.

I started this group for my sister who has been touched by Ovarian Cancer. This is a support group for those and the family of those whom have been touched by or lost to cancer. If you are looking to share your story, or just need a little support from someone going through a similar situation, we are here for you! Rest assured each story shared will remain confidential amoung the members of the group!

Sophisticated Ladies and Gents, Social Club was established for cancer survivors; newly diagnosed, family, friends, caregivers, volunteers as means to build new relationships, and lasting friendships while empowering one another by sharing experiences with cancer, knowledge and resources.
